Center for Prevention of Family Violence

Abuse Prevention Counseling

For over 20 years the Center for Prevention of Family Violence has been the program of choice for anger management and domestic violence offender’s treatment in Waukesha County.

Group programs assist individuals in learning anger management  skills  and developing non-violent behaviors.

Minimum age for group participation is 18.
Individuals younger than 18 are seen individually for anger management or domestic violence treatment services.

Groups are open for enrollment. Call 262-547-5567 

The goals of these groups are to:

​

  • Learn new skills to resolve conflict 

  • Improve relationship skills 

  • Learn alternatives for dealing with anger and frustration


New Directions is an anger management group program that provides prevention and education for men and women who struggle with the strong emotion of anger.

New Thresholds is a 20 week group for men who have been abusive in a partner relationship.

New Horizons is a 20 week group for women who have been abusive in a partner relationship.​

Peaceful Families helps parents successfully manage family stress.
