Support a trauma-informed space to serve the
mental health needs of children in Southeast Wisconsin
Dear friends of Family Service,
Since 1964, Family Service of Waukesha County has been serving the diverse needs of families of Southeast Wisconsin
by delivering mental health treatment and attending to victims of crime with compassion and professionalism. Last year,
the agency served more than 2000 people. This year, even more people have been turning to Family Service for support
following the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the Waukesha Christmas Parade tragedy. We could not serve these
individuals, families and children without the spirit of generosity and commitment from donors like you.
To accommodate the expanding needs of the community, Family Service recently secured a new location at
2727 N. Grandview Blvd. in Waukesha. We are integrating child and adult services in one building for operational
efficiency and are incorporating the principles of trauma-informed care to promote a sense of comfort and safety for
our clients. Trauma-informed care recognizes and responds to the signs, symptoms and risks of trauma to better support
the mental health needs of patients who have endured adverse experiences and toxic stress. The clinical space necessary
to support this type of care will require sound mitigation, tactile considerations and highly trained staff. Building materials
were sourced over the last six months and recent supply chain issues resulted in a cost escalation for materials and
contractor expenses which raised our cost by $75,000 for the planned trauma-informed Children’s Suite.
With service requests climbing every day, we need your help now more than ever before. We are dedicated to serving our community and are asking you to consider a donation to support our new trauma-informed Children’s Suite.
We are thrilled to announce an anonymous donor will match donations up to $25,000!
Please consider a donation of any amount to support the 2022 Capital Campaign.
Special recognition categories include:
Platinum Sponsor - $10,000 - sponsor the entire Children’s Suite. A permanent plaque honoring the
donation will be placed in the lobby of the Children’s Suite. You will receive 15 tickets to our Race for Impact
May 6 event, social media promotion and print recognition in our program.
Gold Sponsor - $5,000 - sponsor a session room and virtual session equipment with a permanent plaque
in the sponsored space. You will receive 10 tickets to our Race for Impact May 6 event, social media
promotion and print recognition in our program.
Silver Sponsor - $2,500 - sponsor a session room with a permanent recognition plaque in the sponsored
space. You will receive 5 tickets to our Race for Impact May 6 event, social media promotion and print

Now, as always, we THANK YOU for your consideration and helping to keep Family Service a strong and vital
resource in our community. Please see the enclosed donation envelope to give to the 2022 Capital Campaign or
