Kristi Deputy
FORENSIC INTERVIEWER
Kristi Deputy is a Forensic Interviewer at The C.A.R.E. Center. As a Forensic Interviewer she conducts interviews, writes reports, and works in collaboration with the non-offending parents and multi-disciplinary team members. Prior to her position at The C.A.R.E Center Kristi worked as a Sensitive and Juvenile Crimes Counselor for the Waukesha District Attorney’s Office in the Victim Witness Unit. Kristi held that position for over 14 years, and is proud of the relationships she has built with law enforcement and other agencies who focus on serving victims of crime. Kristi has a strong passion for raising awareness, and fundraising. Kristi believes that every victim needs a voice, and she is always looking for ways to serve victims of crime. Kristi has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Degree from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.

Judy Walczak
NURSE PRACTITIONER FOR THE C.A.R.E. CENTER
As a community partner of The C.A.R.E. Center, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin provides medical services at The C.A.R.E. Center. Judy Walczak is a Certified Nurse Practitioner who has been employed for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin’s Child Protection Center since 1997. She has staffed The C.A.R.E. Center since 2008. Judy’s specializes in evaluating children for abuse and neglect at the request of law enforcement and social services. Judy is part of a team that includes Board Certified Child Abuse Pediatricians.

Marlene D.
FAMILY ADVOCATE
Family advocacy is provided to non-offending caregivers who accompany children to their appointments at The C.A.R.E. Center. Marlene D. is our community partner from The Women's Center who provides family advocacy at The C.A.R.E. Center. Marlene has a Criminal Justice background and specializes in serving women, children, teens, and men who are victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking as well as homeless and runaway youth. Marlene offers services in English and Spanish and meets with families to provide information, referrals and on-going support while their children receive services. Marlene believes we can transform systems and empower youth people to create and achieve successful outcomes for self, family, and community.
